Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre

Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre

Black cockatoos are some of the most unique wildlife of the Perth Hills

Kaarakin is a specialist wildlife Centre located in Banyowla Regional Park dedicated to rescuing wild black cockatoos and rehabilitating them for release into the wild.
Private Tours and close encounters are by appointment only, so ensure you book well ahead.
As well as rescue, rehabilitation and release, Kaarakin has opportunities to get up close and personal with some of its residents. An encounter (with either their black cockatoos or dingoes) is the best way to learn more about these brilliant Australian characters.
Tours are regularly offered by the Centre (check out their Facebook page for details of upcoming events) or if you’ve got a group of interested nature enthusiasts why not consider a private tour of the facility? You’ll meet both the black cockatoos and dingoes, plus learn about their conservation programs.
