Located a humble 45 minute drive from the Perth CBD, the destination is the perfect day trip and weekend escape. Perth Hills Armadale Day Trip Itinerary

This day trip itinerary connects you with the best things to do in Perth Hills Armadale. You’ll explore the region known for natural beauty and fascinating history and culture, while delighting in tasty fare along the way.

8:30 am: The Pink Café

Start the day with breakfast at local favourite, The Pink Café. Here, you’ll find a huge menu of crowd pleasers, cakes, slices, bagels, and sandwiches to choose from. Along with delicious barista-made coffee to keep you energised for the trip ahead.

9:30 am: Bungendore Park

Make your way to Bungendore Park for an early morning hike of one of the best wildflower trails in the Perth Hills. For a longer option, the 7.7-kilometre loop Honeyeater Hike is a great choice. Alternatively, a shorter trail for those with less time is the 1.7-kilometre loop Cockatoo Circuit. Or, both Spinebill Stroll and Robin Ramble are 3.5-kilometre loops.
Next, jump in the car and drive to Hills Emporio along the Scenic Heritage Drive. If you have time, stop at the picturesque Churchman Brook Dam to soak up the scenic views and let the kids go wild on the playground.

11:00 pm: Hills Emporio

Every drive needs a pit-stop, so after your walk, head to Hills Emporio in Karragullen to refuel with petrol, coffee, and road trip snacks. If you’re down for a picnic lunch, grab a couple of freshly made rolls to take onto the next leg of the journey.

Come for a gentle ramble through the extremely Instagrammable orchard and stay for a picnic amongst the green. While you’re at it, be sure to make a visit to the packing shed to pick up fresh fruit and local goodies to take home. Or, grab a coffee and cake at Coffee@The Shed.

5:30 pm: Last Drop Elizabethan

It’s time to wind down with a tipple. Last Drop Elizabethan is perfect for those craving a hearty pub meal and locally brewed beer.
